Working with AI
Let an AI assistant build and edit scenes with you, safely.
Every change in Omnion, whether you make it or not, goes through the same commands: create an object, move it, change a material, wire two nodes. Commands can be undone, so anything an AI assistant does can be undone with Ctrl+Z, step by step, like your own changes.
The Omnion MCP server
Omnion includes an MCP server (Model Context Protocol, the standard way AI assistants use tools). With it, an assistant can:
- create and edit scenes: add shapes, lights and cameras, move things, set materials and colors
- list what’s in the scene and inspect objects
- import models
- open, save and start new scenes
- take a screenshot of the viewport to check its work
If the editor is open, every change appears in it straight away and you can undo it. If it isn’t, the assistant works on a scene in memory and saves it to a file.
Tips
- Ask for small steps (“put a red cube on the table”) and look at the result before the next one.
- Name your objects: it’s easier to say “move the Door up 2 meters” than to describe it.
- Units are meters, Y is up and rotations are in degrees.
